Greg Fulton is a member of
several ensembles including The Jazz Police, Show Brazil, Javatown Swing, Red Fish
Blue Fish, and the Jill Cohn Band.
Recordings and performances for a wide variety of local and national artists spotlight his
acumen in multiple syles of music. Spanning jazz, rock, Afro-Brazilian, folk and
country music, some of these artists include the 1998 Port Townsend All Star Jazz
Orchestra with Maria Schneider, Eddie Daniels the Northwest Girl Choir, Jill Cohn, The
Eduardo Mendonça Quartet, Kay Story, Evan Buehler, E-Media's instructional CD-ROM for
Guitar, and the Christopher Gross Ensemble. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran
University he taught as a faculty member at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts from
1993-1998. In a review of his award winning performance at the 1996 Northwest Guitar Competition, the Seattle Classical Guitar Society News observed that he played "with fire and emotion." About his performance with jazz great Maria Schneider, the Seattlle Post-Intelligencer describes him as an "electric apparition". |
